The UNCG Global Village has been designed for the benefit of students studying Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian or Spanish, who wish to improve their language skills and also to explore the culture of languages with which they are less familiar.

Under the guidance of native-speaking students living in the residence hall, you will be encouraged to practice and improve your language abilities.

You will also be given the opportunity to participate in various events with an international focus (dinner, musical performances, films, etc.), and to interact with faculty whose teaching and research relates to some aspect of international literatures, languages, or cultures.

Eligibility

Open to first year students studying Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian or Spanish at UNCG.
